Background: 2010 will be the fourth year of The Guernsey Festival of Comedy. Since 2007, the festival has become one of the island’s most eagerly anticipated events. The festival takes place over 9 days in June, with occasional bonus shows at other times during the year.

At the core of the Guernsey Festival of Comedy is a branded comedy club which is set up at Les Rocquettes Hotel in St. Peter Port. The ‘Stand Up Guernsey’ shows are attracting some of the top names in British and International stand up comedy. Many comedians use the festival to preview their Edinburgh Festival shows. In previous years the festival has also utilised other venues around the island to present a variety of comedy entertainment to suit all tastes and age groups.
